Waterways’ drinking water purifiers effectively remove chlorine and other chemical pollutants. Some leave the majority of fluoride and minerals in place, while our reverse osmosis systems remove chemicals and minerals - including salt - almost completely remove them. Waterways CC1 drinking water purifier cartridge is widely tested and approved.
Copies of approvals and performance test data are available on request.

Waterways' CC1 and WS1 undersink drinking water purifiers feature our latest “Fail Safe” technology. Fail Safe systems hold the mains water pressure at the faucet - not at the plastic filter housings - as is common with most other brands. Systems are type tested by Australian Standards. Certification can be viewed at www.sai-global.com
'Fail Safe' filter systems differ from normal pressurised systems in that the pressure is held at the chrome plated drinking water tap - not at the filter housings. This of course is a major safety feature in that the plastic filter housings are never subject to full mains pressure, ie they cannot over-pressurise. It is a feature of this technology that the tap will empty as it turns off. There will be a slight run on when the tap is turned off - as the pressure is relieved from the system.

Under normal circumstances a pressure limiting valve is not required. If incoming water pressure is excessive it may however be necessary to install an approved pressure limiting valve to be fitted in line to the red tube between the mains connection and the drinking water tap to prevent excessive running on as pressure is relaxed from the system after the tap is turned off. Waterways recommend an Apex 'Filtamate' FMP600 for this purpose which limits water pressure to 600kpa. This valve is available from Waterways and its dealers as an accessory.
Chillers and hot water dispensers are also available.
